[UNDER REFLECTION OF LIGHT BY CURVED SURFACE]

(i) Image formed by by curved mirror can be inverted or upright image formed.

(ii) Image formed depends on where the object is placed.

Angle between mirror = 360° – 320° = 40°.

No. of images formed by an inclined mirror = 360/∅ – 1,

Therefore, 360/40-1,

Therefore, 9 – 1 = 8.

(3bi) The possible cause of a one sided deflection of the galvanometer can be because the potential difference between the ends of the potentiometer wire or the E.M.F. of the cell connected in the main circuit may not be greater than the E.M.F. of the cells whose E.M.F. are to be compared.

The positive terminals of the cells and the battery used, the circuit might not be connected to the same end of the potentiometer wire.

CORRECTION: In such a case we will ensure if all connections are tight and connecting wire are not broken.
